RiverWinds Golf & Tennis Club is South Jersey’s home for junior tennis lessons, with year-round instruction for kids on five indoor hard courts built to the same surface used at the US Open. From a four-year-old picking up a racquet for the first time to a varsity competitor chasing a tournament title, our teaching pros in West Deptford group every junior by age and ability so they learn real fundamentals, stay active, and have fun on the court.
Our indoor facility has earned multiple USTA Premier Provider awards and a Courier Post #1 Tennis Facility honor, and our staff has been recognized with USTA Teaching Pro of the Year and Tournament Director of the Year awards. Juniors train in a state-of-the-art, air-conditioned facility with a pro shop and on-site stringing steps from the courts — and advancement is guided by our Head Pro and Director of Tennis, so every player moves up only when they are truly ready.

The Junior School of Tennis runs level-based classes led by our pros — a fun, structured way for kids to build skills, get a great workout, and meet other players.

Private junior tennis lessons
Want one-on-one attention? Schedule a private junior tennis lesson with any of our pros and build a plan around your child’s goals — from grip and footwork to serve mechanics and match strategy. Semi-private or three-player lessons split the cost two or three ways. Rates depend on the instructor and your membership tier.

JUNIOR SCHOOL OF TENNIS

Quick Start
Ages 4–12 · 1 Hour
Learn the fundamentals including forehands, backhands, serves, volleys and overheads while building balance, footwork, sportsmanship and teamwork using red and orange tennis balls.

Junior Champs
Transitional · 1.5 Hours
Designed for players advancing from Quick Start. Uses green-dot balls and regular balls when appropriate as students prepare for the next level.

Junior Top Flight
Varsity / JV · 2 Hours
For varsity or JV high school players, or those with coach approval. Emphasis on strategy, shot selection, point construction, footwork and conditioning.

Our highest-level junior program for tournament and varsity players. Features advanced drills, conditioning and competitive match play.

Private Lesson Rates
Lesson Rates: All rates are for one-hour private lessons. Semi-private and three-person lessons are available, with the lesson fee split evenly between participants.
